More Peruvians will be able to show their talent and be part of this great sports event. The Games Organizing Committee extended the 'Talento Artístico’ call until May 19, to select the dance troupe and extras that will be part of the four Lima 2019 ceremonies.

These events will have a large group of young and enthusiastic volunteer artists committed to deliver a great performance at the National Stadium celebrations. To date, over 10,000 applicants have registered. Requirements include being fans of art and culture, being over 16 years old, and being very passionate. People with an impairment may also be part of this program.
The ‘Talento Artístico’ call, launched by the Games Organizing Committee by the end of March to recruit volunteers that will be part of the ceremonies is running in parallel with auditions of registered artists.
The objective is to select 1700 volunteers artists that will perform at the National Stadium as part of choreographies or supporting the event production.
Selected volunteers will receive a three-month training with Balich Worldwide Shows, the Italian company in charge of the Games ceremonies, and they will be coordinated by 150 professional dancers and 13 national choreographers, led by Vania Masias as choreography director.
The Jury in charge of casting will be composed by Balich choreography director, Dimitra Kritikidi, who will be supported by Vania Masias and Renata Vieitas, as well as by five local assistants.
Other selection criteria for the Lima 2019 ceremonies include different profiles and diverse skills, from actors and acrobats to people with specific skills such as parkour, walking with stilts and Peruvian cajon players, all committed to the level of enthusiasm and energy Lima 2019 ceremonies will require.
The Pan American Games Opening Ceremony will take place the night of July 26, with the 41 delegations making their first appearance at the National Stadium. It will have a display of more than a thousand artists, including dancers, acrobats and musicians live. The Closing Ceremony will be on August 11. The Parapan American Games Opening Ceremony will be held on August 23 and the fourth and last ceremony, the Closing Ceremony, will be held on September 1.
BALICH WORLDWIDE SHOWS
The Milan-based Italian company will be in charge of the volunteer recruitment and selection process. Balich Worldwide Shows, world leader in the communication and live entertainment industry, is always combining multicultural aspects of international teams in each project.
The team that now comprises the company was also in charge of the Torino 2006, Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 Olympic ceremonies (produced by CC2016).
This company has wide experience creating and producing amazing events across the six continents, which provides them with the experience to represent various cultural backgrounds and local talent development environments.
ABOUT LIMA 2019
The Pan American Games will gather 6680 athletes from 41 countries and delegations from the Americas. There will be 17 days of competitions and ceremonies between July 26 and August 11, which will take place in 14 districts of Lima and Callao at various venues like VIDENA, Villa María Sports Center, Callao Regional Village, Villa El Salvador Sports Center, Punta Rocas, among others.
The Lima 2019 Pan American Games will include 39 sports and 62 disciplines, in which athletes will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals. A total of 23 disciplines are qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 the Olympic Games.
The Parapan American Games will gather 1890 Para athletes from 33 countries, participating in 17 sports and 18 disciplines. The competitions will take place between August 23 and September 1, 2019. Fourteen sports will be qualifiers for Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
