Lima 2019 announced that Milan-based company Balich Worldwide Shows will be in charge of producing the Pan American and Parapan American Games opening and closing ceremonies at the National Stadium of Lima next July.
After a tender process that lasted approximately three months, the Italian company obtained the highest score among 18 Peruvian and foreign companies, which are highly renowned in ceremony production.
The agreement was signed today between the Lima 2019 President, Carlos Neuhaus Tudela; Communications, Commercial and Marketing Manager, Juan Antonio Silva; and the Company’s Italian representative, Simone Merico.
Balich Worldwide Shows is one of the most renowned companies of the Worldwide Shows Corporation (WSCorp), world leader in the communication and live entertainment industry.
Balich Worldwide Shows has produced live events, large scale celebrations, new entertainment formats and other Olympic events, combining multicultural aspects of international teams in each project.

This company was also in charge of the Torino Olympic Ceremonies 2006, Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 (produced by CC2016), focused on environmental sustainability. It has also produced the Olympic flag handover events of Salt Lake City 2002 and London 2012.
This company has wide experience creating and producing amazing events across the five continents, which provides them with the experience to represent various cultural backgrounds and environments in a festive manner.
The company, led by Marco Balich, also was responsible for the first permanent show in Italy: "Giudizio Universale - The Last Judgment. Michelangelo and the secrets of the Sistine Chapel”, with the scientific advice of Vatican Museums, organized every day in Roma, which also has a Spanish translation available.
The Pan American Games opening ceremony will be held on July 26 and the closing ceremony on August 11. The Parapan American Games opening ceremony will be held on August 23 and the closing ceremony on September 1.
