CENTRO DE LIMA AND PUEBLO LIBRE WILL HOST LIMA 2019 VOLUNTEER TRAINING WORKSHOPS

In order to train all people who registered to be part of the Lima Volunteer Program, a new workshop will take place in Lima this February 5. It is expected to conduct the training workshop for around 1000 people interested in participating as volunteers for Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games.

Trainings at Centro de Lima and Pueblo Libre

Trainings will be held at Centro de Lima and Pueblo Libre. The first training will take place at the Technological University of Peru - UTP (Av. Petit Thouars 385 – Lima). The other will be held at the Alas Peruanas University - UAP in Pueblo Libre (Jr. Pedro Ruiz Gallo 251). There will be two shifts in both venues: from 02:00 to 18:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. Participants must show their ID. It is important for participants to arrive an hour before the beginning of the training in order to sign in and be on time to attend the course.

This training program, scheduled for February 5, aims to provide the volunteers with the necessary tools (knowledge and skills) to successfully carry out their role in the Games, thus contributing to create a social legacy. This program will be conducted jointly with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

This training program will reach 40 000 volunteers, and it comprises about 20 class hours (face-to-face and virtual).
