Diego Elias, the best squash representative in Peru and Lima 2019 Ambassador, competed against the New Zealander Paul Coll (number 7 in the world) in an exhibition game held at Terrazas Club in Miraflores.
Elias who is number 10 in the world ranking, is treading firmly to obtain a position at the podium during the Lima 2019 Pan American Games to be held from July 26 to August 11.
In this competition, the Lima 2019 Ambassador was defeated 2-3 in a tight score. However this was not a hurdle for Elias who was cheered by the attendees acknowledging his performance and competitiveness.
Milco was a special guest
Diego Elias, minutes before the game, was visited by Milco, the mascot of the Lima 2019 Games. He cheered him loudly and oozed the values of Pan American sports: excellence, friendship, respect and courage.
Squash is one of the 39 sports competing during the Lima 2019 Pan American Games and the venue will be the National Sports Village (VIDENA).
