In 2019, Lima will welcome the best athletes of the continent that will arrive for the Pan American Games and Parapan American Games, taking place in our country for the first time.
United States is one of the favorites to win the competition. USA will bring their best athletes to keep the title achieved in Toronto 2015 Pan American Games.
One of the competitions they aim to win is swimming, where they announced the participation of their best athletes. The American team will bring Nathan Adrian as leader of their delegation. Along with him, Lima 2019 will welcome outstanding American swimmers: Gunnar Bentz (gold medal in 4x200m on the Rio 2016 Olympic Games), Lia Neal (winner of silver medal in 4x100m on Rio 2016) and Haley Anderson (silver medal on London 2012 Olympic Games in the 10km open water).
Nathan Adrian won gold medals in Pekin 2008 Olympic Games for 4x100m free style, London 2012 for 100m free style and 4x100m He also won gold medals in Rio 2016 on 4x100m free style and in 4x100m style. With this, Peru will become a potential candidate for further organization of international tournaments, particularly for this sport that is expected so much in the world.
