The Peruvian Hockey Federation announced the men’s and women’s squads which will represent Peru in the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. The list of competitors was shared on social media after being delivered by Argentinian Patricio Martinez, head of the technical team.
Martínez, who coaches both Peruvian teams, made the decision after his second tour in Argentina, which finished last week and define the last positions left in each team’s formation.
This list includes several athletes playing abroad, such as Christopher Night, Fabrizio Corno, and more recently, Sebastián Dennison. They play in Australia, Italy and England, respectively.
The women’s team features Chiara Conetta, experienced goalkeeper who has played in France and Argentina; Malen Moccagatta, playing for River Plate in Argentina; as well as defender María José Fermi (Uruguay) and Marina Montes-Niño (Spain).
