After the tickets for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games Opening Ceremony sold out, the ticket sales for the Closing Ceremony of this top-level international sports competition will open today, Friday.
This was reported by the Lima 2019 Ticketing Manager, Héctor Ramos, who pointed out that there are still tickets available for the Parapan American Games Opening Ceremony scheduled for August 23, 2019.
For this reason, he invited all families to attend the different competitions that have seat availability such as volleyball, softball, hockey, rugby, baseball, athletics, wrestling, boxing, archery, among others.
“The final of the men’s basketball at the Eduardo Dibós Coliseum sold out really fast, but there are still seats for other finals,” he said.
Thus, he urged the public not to wait until the last moment to buy their tickets because they might sell out. He also mentioned that 22 disciplines are qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. So, outstanding athletes will participate in Lima 2019.
“Let's learn how to enjoy the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games. They’ll help us visit the sports center located in our districts, which are part of the legacy of this international event,” he stressed.
AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE
The representative of Lima 2019 highlighted that everyone can get the tickets because the prices start at PEN 10 for people with an impairment, 60-year-old senior citizens, and children under 18.
This is why the general ticket cost for all the events (competitions and opening and closing ceremony) goes up to PEN 20. The ticket cost for finals is PEN 30. For children under 18 and 60-year-old senior citizens, there will be a 50% discount on all category tickets.
ABOUT LIMA 2019
The opening ceremony of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games will be held at the National Stadium on July 26, 2019. This continental event will gather 6680 athletes from 41 countries and delegations from the Americas.
There will be 17 days of competitions and ceremonies between July 26 and August 11, which will take place in 14 districts of Lima and Callao. The venues of these competitions will be the National Sports Village, Villa María del Triunfo Sports Center, Callao Regional Sports Village, Villa El Salvador Sports Center, Punta Rocas, among others.
The Lima 2019 Pan American Games will include 39 sports and 61 disciplines, in which athletes will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals.
The Parapan American Games will gather 1890 Para athletes from 33 countries, participating in 17 sports and 18 disciplines. Competitions will take place from August 23 to September 1, 2019. In this regard, thirteen sports will be qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
