This training experience will be held on December 15 -16 at César Vallejo University. It is carried out together with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). Lima 2019 Volunteer Program registration will close on December 31.
This weekend, Trujillo will host the general trainings for those who have registered to be volunteers in Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games.
The head of Lima 2019 Volunteer Program, Angela Morales, gave a press conference where she mentioned that trainings will be carried out at César Vallejo University, on December 15 and 16, in two shifts: from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00.
She also said that other trainings have taken place in Cusco, Arequipa, Chiclayo, Tarapoto, Cañete, Huancayo, and Lima.
The Training Program is carried out together with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), an entity that provides training to support of Lima 2019, said Morales.
Registrations open until December 31!
The head of Lima 2019 Volunteer Program reminded everyone that registrations are open until December 31, 2018 in www.lima2019.pe/voluntariado/inscripciones. “The only requirement is to be over the age of 16 as of April 1, 2019.
We invite everyone in La Libertad and Trujillo to join the most important sporting event in the Americas”, said Morales after introducing Milco, the official mascot of the Games.
Today there were promotional activities at César Vallejo University and National University of Trujillo with the objective to encourage people to register in the Volunteer Program.

Angela Morales said that besides the training process offered by Lima 2019 and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), volunteers will also receive a certificate of their training and participation, uniform, accreditation, meals according to shifts, as well as, accident insurance, national and international contact network, and the opportunity to live a unique experience.
She highlighted that the training experience is one of the most important benefits of Lima 2019 Volunteer Program, and the objective is to provide the participants with the knowledge, skills and necessary tools to successfully fulfill their role during the Games and contribute to the social legacy.
In Lima and Pisco
These trainings will be carried out in the cities of Lima and Pisco simultaneously.
In Lima, the training program will be on December 15, at Cesar Vallejo University in Los Olivos (Av. Alfredo Mendiola 6232, Panamericana Norte), in two shifts: from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00.
On December 16, the training program will be at Autonomous University of Peru in Villa El Salvador (Panamericana Sur km 16.3), in two shifts: from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00.
In Pisco, trainings will be at “José de San Martín” school, located at José Balta 769, Pisco Playa, Pisco -Ica. The schedule is Saturday 15 and Sunday 16, in tow shifts: from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00.
Training Program
This training program will be delivered to 40 000 volunteer and it includes around 20 class hours (face-to-face and virtual).
Training sessions begin with the volunteers living in Peru, and they will take place in: Lima, Callao, Chiclayo, Trujillo, Cajamarca, Huancayo, Tacna, Arequipa, Cusco, Tarapoto, Ica, Cañete and Pisco; according to the schedule published in the web site: www.lima2019.pe/voluntariado.
