She has been training in USA to be in the best conditions to compete at the Lima 2019 Games and win the first place in the most important event of the continent.
The “Copa de Campeones” championship was held at the Videna, one of the venues of the Lima 2019 Games. Diez Canseco defeated Samantha Ventura (27-1) in the semifinal, and Alba Fernández in the final (24-8).
In addition to the gold in the -53 Kg category, Julissa was awarded as the best female competitor of the national championship.
To continue with her training and be on her best shape for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games, the athlete will go back to the USA.
