If you have an artistic talent and want to be part of the great multi-sports celebration that Peru will experience in just over two months, this is your last chance to participate in the auditions to select the dance troupe and extras for the four Lima 2019 Games Ceremonies.
For the first time in its history, Peru will host the Pan American and Parapan American Games. That is why we need between 2500 and 3000 volunteer artists who will perform in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at the National Stadium.
For this purpose, the last auditions to be a part of the “Talento Artístico” program will be held this Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26. The auditions will be held in the Parque de la Muralla, in Lima’s Historic Center, starting at 14:30.
To be a part of this program, you do not need to be a professional dancer, you just need to be over 16 years old, be full of energy and show commitment. Those interested must bring their National Identity Document and wear comfortable clothing to perform. Everyone is invited. People with an impairment may also be a part of this program.
The auditions will be overseen by Vania Masías, the Ceremony choreography director, and representatives of Italian company Balich Worldwide Shows, leader in the entertainment industry that has been in charge of the Torino 2006, Sochi 2014, and Rio 2016 Olympic Ceremonies.
When it comes to the selection criteria, we are looking for diverse profiles and skills, from actors and acrobats to people with specific skills such as parkour, walking on stilts, and Peruvian cajón players, all committed to the level of enthusiasm and energy that Lima 2019 will require.
BENEFITS FOR VOLUNTEERS
Selected volunteers will receive three-months training by Balich Worldwide Shows, and will be given classes alongside 150 professional dancers and 13 Peruvian choreographers, led by Vania Masías.
It will be a group experience for the selected artists, in which they will not only learn dance moves, but also international event production. They will leave a legacy of professionalism for every artist in Peru’s future.
