The “Soy Lima 2019” campaign was held at the Madre Admirable school, located in the district of San Luis, where the Pan American and Parapan American values were highlighted through socio-cultural show.
This campaign’s activations seek to reinforce in students the benefits of playing sports and for them to learn about the sports and Para sports that will be contested at the Games.
As part of the Ministry of Education’s healthy life habit, the students carried out 10 minutes of physical activity.
“People learn through sports to follow the rules and support their classmates. We work hard to promote values,” said María Hoces, the school’s principal.
“We work a lot on inclusion here because we have students with different impairments. We managed to get their classmates to help them, welcome them and be supportive,” she said.
“The experience is always important because students can hear and see that Para sports exist,” stated José Huamán, Physical Education coordinator.
It should be noted that this school promotes playing football, volleyball and handball. “Promoting the Games is a good initiative because we want the students to know that other sports exist and we have to guide them so that they play sports in better conditions,” explained Huamán.
It should be noted that VIDENA will be one of the main venues of Lima 2019, and students are already getting ready to welcome visitors to the district.
“We are hosting the Pan American and Parapan American Games, and our students at CETPRO (Productive Technical Education Center) will prepare traditional food and show off their abilities as chefs,” said María Hoces.
In this way, the “Soy Lima 2019” campaign continues to reach different schools with the aim of promoting the sports values that the Pan American and Parapan American Games will leave us as a legacy.
