LIMA 2019 FLAME LIVENS THE PARTY UP AT PERUVIAN JUNGLE

After being the focus of a huge celebration in Tingo Maria, marking half of its journey across Peru, the Pan American Flame will be taken in an outstanding operation of the Peruvian Air Force, where 11 torchbearers will have the honor of being part of the relay.

The celebration will start with the torch going to Tarapoto Air Base to fly to Iquitos. Here, a special operation will take place. Two Torchbearers will display the lit torch, leaving a new postcard for Lima 2019.

Grupo Aéreo 42 will take the torch carrying the fire born in Teotihuacan from Iquitos to Estrecho, at the border with Colombia. There a special operation will take place at 12:00 and to display the torch relay of this sport event.

After passing through Estrecho, the Pan American Flame will return to Iquitos for a celebration in the city stadium.
