This afternoon, Lima 2019 promoted the start of the Pan American and Parapan American Games in the district of Miraflores and arranged a paragliding tandem flight carrying the colors of the multi-sports event and the message: "#LetsAllPlay starting July 26".
Milco, the official mascot of the Pan American and Parapan American Games, arrived at the flying site in Malecón Cisneros, Miraflores to fasten his security belts and get ready to paraglide over Lima.
Locals and tourists could see Milco along with the paraglider as part of the promotion of the most important multi-sports event ever held in Peru.
After that, the public was able to take photos with the Lima 2019 official mascot.
Milco gathered many people, including adults and children. Even tourists from different countries were encouraged to greet the mascot.
Later that day, the mascot also invited and encouraged children to participate in the Football 5-a-side activations.
It's 27 days to the beginning of the Games, but the celebration has already started. The Pan American Torch will be lit next Tuesday, June 2, in Teotihuacán, Mexico. From there, it will arrive directly in the imperial city of Cuzco to start its journey through Peru.
