Carlos Neuhaus Tudela participated today in the first day of the Ninth Executive GORE (Regional Governments and Executive Power) meeting and presented the new management model for public administration to Peru’s regional governors. The Lima 2019 President explained that this model enables transparent processes with zero challenges and complaints.
Carlos Neuhaus pointed out that this new model includes private project management tools for the public sector and it enables to speed up processes for the execution of works, as per the established deadline. “We had to look for a new public and private management model, a combination of both, that would allow us to meet this State’s commitment, such as the Games,” he said.
The signing of a government-to-government (G2G) agreement with the UK Government was included in this new model, that has enabled international technical assistance, knowledge sharing, support in infrastructure, project management, procurement, organizational sports management, and in the Games legacy.
In addition to this, Carlos Neuhaus stated that the new model allowed transparency in hiring processes with zero challenges and complaints. In this regard, he highlighted the so-called NECs (New Engineering Contracts). “These contracts are designed by engineers to carry out works in an efficient manner,” he said, noting that these contracts are adapted to the works and not the works to the contracts.
