Exhibitions of U-15 and U-17 women's football, karate and chess were held before a large number of attendees at the Previ Municipal Stadium. It should be noted that this workshop also promotes volleyball, basketball, table tennis and boxing, which will be included in Lima 2019.
“We’re sure that in order to change our city, we must invest in human talent through sport” stated Miguel Arrese, Callao Region Education, Culture and Sports Manager.
“The modern infrastructure that will remain is a legacy of the Pan American Games. It’s a great opportunity to achieve sport sustainability”, added Arrese.
As we know, boxing, freestyle wrestling, taekwondo and racquetball competitions will be held in Callao during the Pan American Games; as well as sitting volleyball and Para taekwondo during the Parapan American Games.
Jesús Naraza, coach of the women's football team “Talemtus Callao” spoke about the chances of the national team in Lima 2019.
“I wish all the best to the Peruvian team. They have a lot of experience and I hope they can get the medal we’re all looking for”, he said.
Women's football competitions will be held at the Stadium of the National University of San Marcos from July 28 to August 9.
