Through a letter sent to the Lima 2019 executive director Carlos Neuhaus, the Peruvian Architects Association Dean Arturo Yep Abanto praised the high-level infrastructure of the five venues built and remodeled by the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games Organizing Committee.
In this letter, he congratulates the Organizing Committee for the progress made in the Games venues: VIDENA, Villa María del Triunfo, Callao Regional Sports Village, Villa El Salvador Sports Center and the Pan American and Parapan American Village. Likewise, he expresses his gratitude for the authorization granted to the association's committee to visit to the venues.
“We have verified the inspected the high-level work made by the technical team you lead in all the venues that we could visit in Lima. We know that we are duly represented and we are sure you will proudly represent Peru. ,” said the National Dean i his letter to Neuhaus.
Besides the five main venues, Lima 2019 remodeled the stadium of the National University of San Marcos, the Army Equestrian School, two stages of the Chorrillos Military School, the Eduardo Dibós Dammert Coliseum and Las Palmas Shooting Range. The Organizing Committee also worked on the construction of the Punta Rocas Surfing Sports Center and the adjustment of the Costa Verde San Miguel to host beach volleyball, BMX, road cycling and speed skating.
ABOUT LIMA 2019
The Lima 2019 Pan American Games is a continental event that will gather 6.648 athletes from 41 countries, and opens on July 26 at the National Stadium. There will be 19 competition days, 39 sports and 61 disciplines. A total of 22 disciplines are qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The Parapan American Games will welcome 1890 Para athletes from 33 countries, who will participate in 17 Para sports and 18 disciplines. Competitions will take place from August 23 to September 1, 2019. Additionally, 13 Para sports are qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
