With the aim of sharing the success of the Games with all the sponsors, commercial operators and the media, Lima 2019 held the first “Let’s All Play” Business Partners Workshop that brought together the official sponsors of the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games.
At this meeting, Juan Antonio Silva, the Lima 2019 Communications, Commercial and Marketing manager, made important announcements and revealed that the Games Organizing Committee will have 30 sponsors, four rights-holders, and three companies with commercial licenses.
“All this began on September 3, 2018, when we invited 230 companies to participate an open call. The goal was to gain 30 sponsors, four rights-holders and three companies with commercial licenses. Today we can say that we met our goal. We thank you for joining Lima 2019 to form a great family,” said Juan Antonio Silva.
“We want Peruvians to know that after the Olympic Games, there’s us (Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games). This is Peru’s greatest event in 200 years. It’s an opportunity to transform Peruvian society, thanks to the values of the Games: respect, excellence, and friendship; equality, inspiration, courage, and determination. Lima 2019 will be an excellent opportunity to show 400 million people around the world what Peru is like,” emphasized the Lima 2019 Communications, Commercial and Marketing Manager.
Silva also announced that “tickets will go on sale on May 27 (for the Pan American Games). We are already racing against time because we want to bring a million people to the sports events and ceremonies. We will also do the same with the Cultural Program, which no other Games has had. This will be the largest cultural event in Peru’s history, and we hope to gather a million people,” he stated.
President of the Panam Sports Athlete Commission and Marketing Commission Coordinator, Alexandra Orlando, also participated in the workshop. She said that she felt overwhelmed, given that the Pan American Games are only a few days away.
“As Panam Sports, we look for excellence in sports. For 70 years we have continued innovating to deliver great Pan American Games. Therefore, we will bring the best of the Americas. This is a qualifying event for Tokyo 2020, so if we say that the best of the best will be there, it will happen. For you, as sponsors and business partners, it is an opportunity to make an impact on the one million people who will attend the Games. You will be able to share the experience with athletes, and it will be exciting because you will expose your brands and reach new audiences. We hope you will help us create moments for sharing, because the Games will be great,” concluded Alexandra Orlando.
