The Lima 2019 Organizing Committee decided to extent the opening hours of the Uniforms and Accreditation Center (UAC), which was the first active venue ahead of the largest upcoming multi-sport event in the continent. This important venue is located in the Centro de Exposiciones y Eventos “El Vivero” at the Jockey Club.
All volunteers who received their invitation to pick up their accreditation card and uniforms must attend the UAC according to its new schedule: from Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 20:00, and Sundays from 09:00 to 14:00. We suggest you avoid leaving this procedure to the last minute. Cluster E volunteers, who will work in venues outside the city like Lunahuaná, Paracas or Végueta, may pick their accreditation cards up a their venues.
The Uniforms and Accreditation Center (UAC) was the first venue to start its activities for the Lima 2019 Games. The UAC will welcome over 70,000 people, among contractors, technical officials, Lima 2019 staff and volunteers, who must be accredited to be part of the Pan American and Parapan American Games.
At the same time, a total of 24,876 people (torchbearers, technical officials and workforce) will receive uniforms to carry out their roles. During the uniform delivery process, 88 volunteers and 5 staff members of the project will work in shifts.
As for the accreditation process, a team of around 30 staff members and 18 volunteers will work in shifts.
It is worth mentioning that the uniforms are one of the benefits of the Volunteers Program. Thus, they will be delivered to about 19,000 volunteers and staff who will become the Games workforce. The uniform kit has two T-shirts, two trousers, one jacket, and one cap.
The production of the uniforms will be one of the legacies of Lima 2019 as the entire manufacturing process is being carried out by micro and small businesses of the MYPErú procurement program. This program aims to encourage micro, small, and medium national businesses and promote the manufacturing industry in order to create job opportunities and economic and social development in the most vulnerable areas of the country.
