Historic ticket sales record for sport shows in the country. A large number of people bought their tickets for Lima 2019 Pan American Games ceremonies and sporting competitions on the first day of sales. Expectations are high for the largest multi-sport event of the Americas, to be held for the first time in our country starting in July.
More than 25,000 tickets were sold on the first day for the ceremonies and different competitions that will be held in Games-time. Tickets for some competition finals have almost sold out. Such is the case of men’s basketball, to be held at the Eduardo Dibós Coliseum in San Borja.
Tickets can be bought in ten Lima 2019-authorized points of sale around the city. Tickets can also be purchased online through the official website www.lima2019.pe.
To ensure ticket sales and venue access control according to the highest international standards for such an important event, the Lima 2019 Organizing Committee has chosen two world-leading partners: Teleticket and Ticketmaster. The combined work of these companies will guarantee a world-class service and create added value for the Games.
As for e-tickets, printing will no longer be necessary since spectators can show their e-tickets on their mobile phones at the entrance of the sports venue. Furthermore, it will be possible to buy tickets at all competition venues on the day of each event.
DISCOUNTS
The pricing policy aims to include everyone, so tickets for each official competition of the Pan American sports events will range from PEN 20.00 for preliminary events to PEN 30.00 for final competitions.
Tickets for the Parapan American Games will start at PEN 10.00. In both cases, there will be a 50% discount for children under 18, senior citizens and people with an impairment.
People will also be able to attend the spectacular Lima 2019 Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies at the National Stadium. Ticket prices start at PEN 20. Ticket sales for the Parapan American Games will open on June 24.
ABOUT LIMA 2019
The Opening Ceremony of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games will be held at the National Stadium on July 26, 2019. This continental event will gather 6680 athletes from 41 countries and delegations from the Americas. According to the schedule, handball competitions start on July 24.
There will be 19 days of competitions and ceremonies between July 24 and August 11, 2019, which will take place in 14 districts of Lima and Callao at different venues such as the VIDENA, Villa María Sports Center, Callao Regional Village, Villa El Salvador Sports Center, Punta Rocas, among others.
The Lima 2019 Pan American Games will include 39 sports and 61 disciplines, in which athletes will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals. A total of 22 disciplines are qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The Parapan American Games will gather 1890 Para athletes from 33 countries participating in 17 sports and 18 disciplines. Competitions will take place from August 23 to September 1, 2019. A total of 13 Para sports will be qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
