Milco is an enthusiastic sport and soccer fan. The mascot of the Pan American and Parapan American Games visited Alianza Lima stadium, at the heart of La Victoria district, to spend some time with the fans who came to watch live the match between local teams Alianza Lima and Sport Boys del Callao. This match initiated the professional soccer championship of Peru, now called League 1.
In Matute, as in Universitario de Deportes’ Monumental stadium during the team presentation for this season, and also in Miguel Grau stadium during a similar event to present Deportivo Municipal new team, Milco spent some time with fans of all ages and sport celebrities. Children were the most excited with Milco. They couldn’t get enough pictures and, of course, they took the opportunity to say hi to Lima 2019 mascot.
Milco was elected by vote as the mascot of the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games which will take place in our city from July 26 to August 11 and from August 23 to September 1, respectively. It is the first time that the image of these games is represented by a mascot that features an ancient culture. This cute character has its roots in the ancient culture that lived in Chancay, Lima and Chincha. He is always friendly and has his arms open to welcome all visitors and athletes to communicate the sports and Lima 2019 values.
One of his favorite colors is red because it is a color shown in our flag; and also because it reflects passion and the feeling evident in Peruvian stadiums. As we can see, Milco is an enthusiastic sport and soccer fan.
