Mariscal Caceres Coliseum, in Chorrillos, already looks different. It now has the characteristic color of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games on the outside. Inside, workers continue preparing everything to host two out of the 39 sports that will be held there: weightlifting and bodybuilding.
Both sports, in which Peruvian teams have a good chance to get the gold, have aroused the interest of Chorrillos fans. They are enthusiastic about hosting those Games sports competitions in one of the most emblematic places in the area.
Four out of five disciplines of modern Pentathlon will take place a few meters away at the Military School.
The modern Mariscal Caceres coliseum is one of the legacies left by the Lima 2019 Organizing Committee. It has been used for sports activities of the Military Training School students.
