During his presentation in the Congress plenary session, he pointed out Peru will receive more than 150,000 visitors and 8000 athletes from 41 countries during the Lima 2019 Games, scheduled to start on July 26.
“The Pan American Games will take place in Lima in the upcoming months. We will welcome 8,000 athletes from 41 countries and will receive approximately more than 150,000 visitors, which will allow us to promote our country,” he explained at the Congress plenary session.
Del Solar added there will be 400 million international spectators, who will follow the competitions and ceremonies, through important media networks.
Moreover, he stressed that the legacy of the Pan American and Parapan American Games will be a modern sports infrastructure, and referred to the VIDENA, the Villa María del Triunfo Sports Center, the Callao Regional Village, the Stadium of the National University of San Marcos, and the Villa El Salvador Sports Center.
The Prime Minister Salvador del Solar attended the Congress plenary session to present the general policy of the government and the measures he will take, and to request a confidence vote.
