WOMEN'S U20 VOLLEYBALL TEAM WILL BE THE FIRST TO TRAIN AT THE CALLAO SPORTS CENTER FOR AN INTERNATIONAL EVENT

The Callao Sports Center will officially open its doors to host the Volleyball Women's U20 Quadrangular Tournament on May 24, 25 and 26, in which the Peruvian team, led by Natalia Málaga, will compete against Chile, Colombia and Argentina. This will be a new test event for the Lima 2019 team on the road to the Pan American and Parapan American Games.

This will be the first competition taking place at the Callao Sports Center, one of the stages built for Lima 2019 with 6100 seats. It will host the volleyball and taekwondo competitions during the Pan American Games, as well as sitting volleyball and Para taekwondo for the Parapan American Games.

The Peruvian team will compete next Monday in its first international tournament at the Manuel Bonilla Coliseum in Miraflores. These two tournaments are part of their training for the U20 World Cup to be held from July 12 to July 21 in Mexico.

INTERNATIONAL QUADRANGULAR TOURNAMENT

This will be a three-day tournament. On May 24, Peru will compete against Chile at 19:00. On the next day, the Peruvian team will compete against Colombia at the same time and, on Sunday 26, against Argentina at 17:00.

The tournament will be broadcast live on Latina TV, Lima 2019 open-signal Media Partner.

TICKETS AND SOUVENIRS

The Organizing Committee has planned to sale the tickets through Teleticket. The sale will start on Wednesday 15 in different points of sale in Lima and you can also buy them online.

Tickets will cost between PEN 10 and 20. People with impairments, adults over 60 and people under 18 will have a 50% discount on the sale value.

Among the services provided to the public, there will be a merchandising stand to buy official products of the Pan American and Parapan American Games.

SIMULTANEOUS TOURNAMENT

The Lima 2019 Organizing Committee has scheduled another “Test Event” along with the volleyball event: the athletics event. The South American Senior Championship will be held on the same days at the VIDENA’s Athletics Stadium, a qualifying event for the Pan American Games.
