"Soy Lima 2019" campaign started activities at Virgen del Carmen 7077 School in Villa El Salvador and more than 250 students will participate.
Thirty-eight days from the Pan American Games, Lima 2019 organizing committee presented the sociocultural activity promoting Olympic and Paralympic values to a big group of students that prepared posters related to the Games.
“Motivation and excitement about the show drove us to prepare ourselves with the help of our teachers for the Lima 2019 activity”, said Carmen Espino, school principal.
She also highlighted the values of equality and inspiration promoted by the Parapan American Games.
“We have children with physical and intellectual impairment full integrated into our school. They are included in all the activities”, pointed out Espino.
As in words of the principal, the practice of sports enables integration of children and “also health care through sports allowing growth”, added.
The school will continue promoting the Games through the integration of countries and, as proposed, placing a flag in the facade of the school. “This event will is not only bring visibility to the country but also to the district Villa El Salvador will appear in the map”, concluded the principal.
The Pan American and Parapan American Village and also the Sports Center is located at Villa El Salvador where Karate and all categories of Gymnastics will take place.
Artistic Gymnastics will take place between July 27 and 31; Rhythmic gymnastics between August 2 and 5 and Trampoline between August 4 and 5.
In the case of Karate, Kata will take place on August 9; and Kumite, on August 10 and 11.
