The President of Peru Martín Vizcarra Cornejo, attended the ceremony launching ticket sales for the Lima 2019 Games. The president and his son Martino bought the first two tickets for the competitions and ceremonies of the multi-sports event to be held in our country in two months.
For the Pan American Games, the official sale of tickets starts on May 27. For the Parapan American Games, the sales start on June 24. For this purpose, before tickets are on sale for the general public, the President bought the tickets 001 and 002 for the Lima 2019 Games in a sales module. The tickets design features an image of Milco, the Games mascot.
“We are ready for the Pan American Games opening ceremony on July 26. Tickets will be available to everyone from Monday. Everyone will have to buy their tickets and we are an example. Prices are accessible: PEN 10 and PEN 20 for any competition,” said Vizcarra.
“Facilities for some sports are already finished, the velodrome will be ready at the end of the month and we are pretty sure that all venues will be ready for July. We will have the opportunity to see elite athletes and for this reason, we promulgated the law to reward Peruvians who win medals with an apartment in the Pan American Village. They will be recognized for their efforts,” said the President.
The President highlighted the importance of the Pan American and Parapan American Games in our country. “We will have a great sports competition with 41 countries, where Peruvians will give their best to win. We will have a record of medals, and we will say ¡Arriba Perú! (Let’s go Peru!). All modern venues are a motivation to play sports. We can come by bicycle, although I do not know if I will enter the velodrome because the track is leaning,” he joked.
The ticket purchase ceremony took place at the Aquatic Center of VIDENA with the attendance of the Minister of Education Flor Pablo, the President of Lima 2019 Carlos Neuhaus Tudela, the Mayor of Lima Jorge Muñoz, the President of the Peruvian Institute of Sports Sebastián Suito and the Head of the Peruvian Olympic Committee Pedro del Rosario.
