The “Artistic Talent” Call launched by the Lima 2019 Organizing Committee at the end of March to recruit dancers and extras for the four Ceremonies of the Pan American and Parapan American Games, is at a crucial stage with the beginning of the auditions of the registered applicants.
This stage began on April 23 and will end on May 12. So far, over 10,000 applicants have registered on the website https://www.lima2019.pe/ceremonias/inscripciones. The only requirements are to be fans of art and culture, to be over 16 years old and to be very passionate. The call is looking to select between 2500 and 3000 volunteer artists who will perform at the National Stadium, participating in choreographies or supporting the production of the event.
The Lima 2019 Executive Director Carlos Neuhaus, the Communications, Commercial and Marketing Manager Juan Antonio Silva, the Lima 2019 Director Choreographer Vania Masías, and the Mayor of the district of Surquillo Giancarlo Casassa attended this event today at the Casa de la Juventud in Surquillo.
The Lima 2019 Communications, Commercial and Marketing Manager Juan Antonio Silva, said that “there are no other requirements than being a real Peruvian, passionate and eager to show your talent to the world.
“Lima 2019 is more than a sports competition, it’s a great opportunity to positively transform the country through sport values. We are sure that there will be a ‘before and after’ the Games for artistic volunteers participating in the ceremonies,” Silva said.
Lima 2019 Director Choreographer Vania Masías said that she was very excited by the call’s scope. “The volunteers’ spirit reminds me why I love my country so much and why I live in Peru. We really have wonderful hardworking and really passionate people.
The mayor of Surquillo Giancarlo Casassa also invited all local governments to join this great multi-sport event. “Let’s all play. That’s what we've been doing and we’re proud to live in Surquillo, in Lima, and in Peru. We’re thrilled by the number of young people who have registered and want to participate. The role of local governments is to include and welcome everybody.”
