CARLOS NEUHAUS: "WE ARE A PUBLIC MANAGEMENT MODEL"

The Lima 2019 Games Organizing Committee held the workshop called "Preparing for Success” at the Sports Center 1 of VIDENA where collaborators from the different functional areas attended.

The Lima 2019 Executive Director, Carlos Neuhaus Tudela, led the event and mentioned, just a little over two months before the Pan American Games Opening Ceremony, "our greatest satisfaction will be the honor of having accomplished this mission. We will be part of history for working on the largest event ever made in Peru. We will be in the eyes of the world."

Carlos Neuhaus praised the commitment of the collaborators to make the Lima 2019 Games the best in history. "We have faced several challenges, but here we are honoring Peru's commitment. Let's be an example that things can be done well. We are a public management model for other institutions. Now our goal and the honor to make and manage the best Games ever. Our strength will make it possible," he said.

Amalia Moreno, Lima 2019 secretary general, stated that "we are going to have the best levels of service. We are a new level of management and a model that can be used for new projects. We should be proud of that. We will be ready for Games time" she emphasized.

The main advisor of the Lima 2019, Jaime Reusche, said that confidence was essential to bring the project forward. "We had the trust we will be achieving this, against all odds. We are demonstrating that things can be done with integrity and honesty. Lima 2019 is going to be a success and we will demonstrate our capability. Everyone will be proud to be part of Lima 2019," he said.

Milco, the Lima 2019 official mascot, also participated in the event which began with some workplace exercises. It was held at the main competition venue of the Pan American and Parapan American Games. A little over two months before the opening ceremony, the Lima 2019 Organizing Committee is ready to host the largest multi-sport event of the Americas.
