At a steady pace. The Special Project for the Preparation and Development of Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games, reached the 98.5% of budget execution of infrastructure projects, at the end of 2018. This percentage was addressed to build sport scenarios such as Pan American and Parapan American Village, VIDENA, Villa María del Triunfo Sports Center, Callao Regional Village, Villa El Salvador Sports Center and the Army Equestrian School (Equestrian Venue), in compliance with international standards. These works will be a legacy for future generations.
Last year budget execution for Lima 2019 operational activities was 95.8% that will enable the Games development, pursuant to the strict standards required by a sports event of this size.
These results were possible due to the team work of highly committed professional Peruvians managers, the application of a new management model in the public sector, the NEC agreements category, the specialized consultancy between Peruvian Government and the UK Government, the multidisciplinary work performed with several sectors of the State and the effective control of public resources.
Before closing the fiscal year 2018, Lima 2019 executed 97.3% of its annual budget, in all activities and projects.
The Lima 2019 Annual Budget in 2018 was PEN 1761.7 million, where PEN 1713.8 million was paid ending last fiscal year.
In this sense, the Special Project for the Preparation and Development of Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games, consolidates its commitment of improving the budget execution in order to achieve the successful performance of the Games this year.
