testCANOE SLALOM

OVERVIEW

Do you imagine yourself crossing, at speed, doors suspended in a wild river with swirls and falls, do you dare? It's Slalom Canoeing, a sport of adrenaline and skill.

HISTORY

Canoe slalom was a part of the Munich 1972 Olympic Games. After that, this sport was not absent between 1976 and 1988, until it was reincorporated in the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games. Since then, canoe slalom has been a part of every edition. The canoe was brought to Peru from Poland thanks to the adventurer Yurek Majcherzyck. It has been a part of the Pan American Games since the Indianapolis 1987 Games.
