OVERVIEW
Water sports consisting of keeping balanced on a special board that moves on the waves. Surfing is a sport of appreciation, where the judges evaluate the surfer who must perform controlled radical maneuvers, in the critical section of the wave, with speed, strength and fluidity. Also considered as part of the score are the innovative, progressive maneuvers, as well as the combination and variety of the repertoire.
HISTORY
There is evidence of the presence of Surf in the Polynesian Islands. However, there are vestiges, chronicles and stories that lead us to seriously think about the beginning of this practice in our country since more than 3,000 years ago on the coasts of the current departments of Trujillo and Chiclayo.
